Brad Kearns
"As a triathlete for a couple of decades, I have spent plenty of time in water and sun. The frequent exposure to water from (swimming or showering after numerous daily workouts), sun and wind from cycling makes dry, uncomfortable skin a constant companion. I have tried many lotions but once you break a sweat they break down too. With the Morning Indigo products, I enjoy the convenient spray-on application and the way it nourishes and hydrates your skin all day long. Its a great choice for after shower or swimming too!"

Tonya Laffey
"I started using the body spray and the wash when i received them... and I love them immensely! Here's what happened... for the past 2 or 3 years I have had this dry skin condition on my upper arms. I didn't think it was anything too serious- it wasn't psoriasis or any other skin condition, I used baby oil with vitamin E and an organic lotion so I thought I was doing all I could do to keep it under control. But it didn't go away even after winter, when I wasn't exposed to the sun, which I thought the burning and being in the sun caused the condition. I began doing more research and read about a certain skin cancer that appears as dry skin. This was actually about the time I received the Morning Indigo products. I was worried, but wanted to hold off and see if being in the Arizona sun would help clear it up. By the time I arrived in AZ- the condition was almost 100% gone, and this was before I spent any time in the sun. The clearing up of my skin is definitely due to the body spray. Thank you!"

Colleen Klein
"Hi Taylor, I love the products. Thanks so much for sending them. I used the body wash after the triathlon I did two weeks ago and the duathlon I did last weekend and it was a great pick-me-up. I turned 40 in the fall and don't seem to recover as quickly from races as I used to so I enjoyed the pampering. Colleen has served as race director of the Tri-Shark Triathlon since 1998 and has been participating in triathlons since 1992."

Organic Athlete

OrganicAthlete's mission is three-fold: information sharing, community building, and inspiring through athletic example. Our elite cycling team integrates all three of these strategies into one program. First, team members will give talks at schools and community groups about health and plant-based nutrition and distribute information about plant-based nutrition, including OrganicAthlete's Guide to Sports Nutrition, at events. Second, the cycling team serves as a rallying point for the entire OrganicAthlete community and promotes our membership organization. Finally, on the inspiration front, what better way to promote a plant-based, vegan lifestyle than an entire team of vegan athletes?

Support

Skin Care Athletes supports the following organizations by way of products, monetary donations, participation or volunteers.  We are honored to be a part of what these organizations are doing in the wake of health and wellness for all people.

Skin Deep is a safety guide to cosmetics and personal care products brought to you by researchers at the Environmental Working Group.  Skin Deep pairs ingredients in nearly 25,000 products against 50 definitive toxicity and regulatory databases, making it the largest integrated data resource of its kind. Why did a small nonprofit take on such a big project? Because the FDA doesn't require companies to test their own products for safety.

A Score For The Pores

Fluids to hydrate before, during and after the big race? Check.
An amazing run -- even broke your record AND had fun in the process? Check.
Post-race massage to soothe your tired muscles? Check.
Celebratory feast?   Check.
Done the body good?  Mmm…not quite.

Aren’t you forgetting something?

Like your largest organ?  Hours of training in the elements: sun, wind, and chlorinated water, has left your pores starving for attention.  A dilemma that’s now been solved, courtesy of Taylor Sparks.  A marathoner and triathlete herself, Taylor noticed all that training was taking a serious toll on her skin.   So she retreated to her lab (aka her kitchen) and developed Skin Care for Athletes a natural and organic skin care line for the athletically inclined.

Bare minimum girls will dig the Tri-Body Wash with an all-in-one formulation for hair, face and body.  It’s also gentle enough for daily use and after every sweaty session.  Other products to love include super moisturizing Tri-Body Sprays and luxurious facial serums  - just a couple of drops needed to go the distance.

Enabling your skin to keep up with the rest of you.

"The Tri-Body Spray is fully oil-based, which is great for dry winter skin. It feels very emollient and stays on longer than other lotions do, which makes everything feel very protected. (Our test: Get into pool. Get into shower. Get into just-laundered and line-dried pair of blue jeans.) Also, the spray smells good enough to eat, which is just what everyone looks for in the locker room. One lady said, with her nose in the air, “I smell ginger. It smells wonderful.” Yes. Thank you. And now, thanks to Taylor, we smell wonderful too."

"I have your products and I've used them. My two cents worth: I love the wash---perfect amount of sudsing and the smell lingers, very pleasant, and just enough moisture left behind."

"I'm a runner living in South Florida and training for my first marathon. The Tri-Body Spray rehydrates, moistens and softens my skin without a greasy feel! It's the perfect rejuvenation after all the sweat, showers and sun damage."
K. Lakes

"Tri-Body Spray after washing is a wonderful alternative to lotion. I very much liked the quick and easy spray application, and found that it did in fact absorb quickly into the skin. The Ginger/Lemongrass/Sandalwood blend that I sampled was just the right amount of subtle fragrance and essential oils, while being made with natural ingredients. My husband enjoyed the scent, yet I was not too willing to give up the sample to let him try it!"  Read the entire review here:
